DOCUMENTA enables an operating setup based on very high levels of IT security. Both the file store and the DB are located on an on-premise or cloud server, which company users or external contacts with credentials and specific interaction permissions can access by performing a “check-out”. Upon completion of local processing activities on the reserved documents, the user performs a “check-in” of the document, which is then returned to the secure server environment. DOCUMENTA also features a system for monitoring activities performed by the user on the data and documents in the archive and the modifications they undergo. Reports of the monitoring activities of internal users and external contacts are available for the system administrator’s viewing.
