PACKING LIST MODULE

The Packing List module presents a functional set dedicated to managing materials during the packaging and shipping phases. It can operate either integrated with Documenta PLM or stand-alone.

The operational workflow may involve using an initial material list—for example, from an .xls file or, in the case of integration with Documenta PLM, from the Production BOM.

Assuming the creation of a library of “container objects” called BOXes (such as boxes, pallets, and containers) with associated information like tare weight and load capacity, the user can perform the loading accurately and controllably, thus avoiding errors. This is done via drag & drop, moving the various elements from the starting list to the lists corresponding to the various containers, completing the load.

During this phase, information from the data sheets associated with the various items to be shipped, present in the starting lists, will be automatically considered. This information includes:

  • Price
  • Code/Barcode
  • Weight
  • Images

After the completion of loading containers such as boxes and/or pallets, it is possible to place them into larger containers, such as shipping containers, while always respecting the predefined loading and shipping rules.

Following the completion of the described operations, the user can automatically generate the information to be printed on the various accompanying documents for each container, using customizable templates, as well as the CMRs (International Consignment Notes).

WHY USE THE DOCUMENTA PACKING LIST MODULE AS A SOFTWARE FOR SHIPPING MANAGEMENT?

The Packing List software module, integrated into the functional context of Documenta, is a powerful tool for shipping management, leading to a drastic reduction of time compared to traditional working methods.

The Packing List software module is the ideal communication platform for managing shipments in total control and security, optimizing work times, and eliminating document compilation and container loading errors.

Being integrated into the functional context of Documenta, it enhances its potential regarding shipping management and allows for a single working tool with functionalities available to Documenta users who have the appropriate interaction permissions.
