Bills of Materials (BOMs)
DOCUMENTA allows for the sophisticated management of industrial BOMs. Through integration with CAD software, the BOMs typically obtained from creating a 3D assembly are “intercepted.” Various BOM display types are available, in addition to the Technical or “CAD” BOM, the Production and Assembly BOMs, which may involve a redefinition of the article group structure. It is possible to view a graphical comparison between similar BOMs and/or those with different revisions, with immediate graphical highlighting of the differences. The powerful configuration tool supports users in creating “configured” BOMs, allowing the correct BOM to be quickly obtained through the use of applied rules and the selection of appropriate parameters.
