While understandable, this mindset is also one of the main causes of incomplete or ineffective implementations. <\/p><p>The PLM is often associated with software to be installed, configured, and integrated with other business systems. In reality, this is merely the most visible and least critical aspect of the issue. Each business function tends to build its own \u201cversion of the product\u201d, adapted to its specific operational needs. Similarly, quality assurance helps define controls, compliance, and change management, while the supply chain uses product information to coordinate suppliers, materials, and procurement. <\/p><p>An important role is also played by after-sales serices, which can provide valuable insights into issues encountered in the field and contribute to the continuous improvement of the product.<\/p><p>The IT department maintains a fundamental role as a technology enabler, ensuring integration, security, and operational continuity of the platform.
